Jabal al-Nour is a rugged mountain situated approximately 5 kilometers northeast of the Holy Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Mecca. It is characterized by its rocky terrain and distinctively shaped peak. History
Jabal al-Nour holds profound significance in Islamic history as it is the location where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received his first revelation from Allah through the Angel Gabriel in the year 610 CE. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to retreat to the cave of Hira for meditation and spiritual reflection.
